The foundation of your grade in this class is your student portfolio. This portfolio will gauge your progress in the course and provide a record of your work on the important aspects of the course. Your portfolio will be submitted at the end of the course for evaluation, and it will present your contributions to the course.
The portfolio is a web page on your blog that presents an electronic journal on your student blog; the URL should be submitted to me at some point early in the semester. The portfolio will be assessed at designated times (see your specific course schedule) during the semester.
You should begin building your portfolio the first week of class and continue to add to it throughout the semester.
The student portfolio will essentially be a series of links to your assignments and other contributions to the class. For example, if you wrote two blog entries, contributed to several wikis, etc., these should be linked off of your portfolio page and explained with a few sentences.
The object of the portfolio is to sell your work to others, including the professor who will be evaluating it. It should contain your best work.
Portfolio Assignments
All of the assignments can or will potentially be a part of your portfolio. For specific assignments, please see your course’s requirements. Again: not all of these assignments are for all classes. Please be sure an assignment is acceptable for your particular class before beginning.
